Nice info for the event.

I'd like to ask several questions in regards of entering this event:

1) Are there any special rules for photographers/any visitors who happen to bring a DSLR/mirrorless camera with lighting equipments such as softboxes, reflectors, etc.? This is often noticeable during the bag checking process (where there's the dreaded 'No (Flash) Photography' sign).

For context, the next AFA will be held in Indonesia; more precisely in Jakarta, quite close from where I live now. The venue, Jakarta Convention Center, has been my playground for years now and I know that place here and there.

However, this may be the first AFA I'll attend and I was considering bringing a 'professional' photography kit as I really hate general indoor lighting for photography. I'm concerned because you mentioned there was a bag checking, in which in previous events held in JCC, it never was an issue.

Said kit won't be too big though but not small either; it can be quite noticeable but I've planned it not to be too spacious so I could still work on such limited space according to your description. Think of a mini photo studio/booth.

2) Following the 'limited space' issue, is it so crowded you can only go with the flow or there's still room enough for you to stop and be aware of your surrounding? I'm referring to the exhibitions only. This will impact my final decision whether I'll enter or just stay at the outlier area.

3) Any updates for AFA 2024? All I know is from Google searches and so far, I don't see any news from any official social media accounts.

Thanks!
